Presentation Note Help

Open List

You can access your imported files from Open List. Prior to importing, there is a test presentation in the list. Review it, to experience Presentation Note and to learn about features.
You can import only .ppt, .pptx or .pdf files. To learn how to import read Import File. 
Press on the desired file from the list to start it.
Note: When using the app, It is preferred to keep the landscape orientation locked. Otherwise, your presentation may not be processed correctly.   

Presentation Note Settings

Before starting your presentation you can choose your preferred options by going to Settings/Presentation Note

Import File

Choose Presentation Note
You can import a file in Presentation Note by:
  • opening a .ppt, .pptx or .pdf file sent to your email account; open the file in the email message; press the 
"Open in" button and choose Presentation Note; the file will be available in the presentation list 
  • from your PC, through the web browser such as Chrome or Firefox; read detailed instructions by clicking the Import File button in Presentation Note
  • from Dropbox account;  start Presentation Note and log in to your Dropbox account. Transfer your files in  Dropbox/Apps/Presentation Note. Tap the Dropbox icon in Presentation Note. Choose the files you would like transferred.
  • from Box account; start Presentation Note and log in to your Box account. Choose the files you would like transferred.

Delete file

You can delete file from Presentations in two simple steps:
  1. Swipe to the left on the file that you would like to remove from Presentations
  2. Press Delete/Yes

How to start presenting

  • Press Open List
  • Choose the desired file and press on it once
  • Wait for the processing to finish

While presenting:
  • pressing the "X" button will exit presentation
  • the time field shows the time since you started presenting
  • the slide number field shows the number of the current slide, as well as the overall number of slides in the presentation
  • the "<" button will take you to the previous slide
  • the ">" button will take you to the next slide

Additionally, we have implemented gesture based slide change. Swipe with 3 fingers to the left or to the right to change to the previous or to the next slide.
If your iPad is connected to an additional display, you can use the laser pointer feature. Press with one finger on the slide and move it across the desired area to activate the laser pointer.
You can choose between dot, line or tail laser pointer:
  • Dot laser pointer is a single red point on the display screen
  • Line laser pointer will enable you to draw red lines on the display screen
  • Tail laser pointer will enable you to draw red lines on the display screen that disappear in a few seconds

Connecting to a projector/monitor

You can connect your iPad to a projector/monitor/TV to view your presentation on a bigger screen. To connect the iPad to the projector/monitor you will need: 
  • standard Apple VGA Adapter 
  • standard VGA cable
Connect the Apple VGA Adapter to your iPad. Insert the VGA cable into the Apple VGA Adapter on one end, and insert it in the projector/monitor on the other.   

Tip: If you use speakers notes when connected to projector/monitor, they won't be visible for the audience.

You can also use Apple Digital AV Adapter, if your projector/monitor/TV have HDMI input. You will need:
  • Apple Digital AV Adapter
  • HDMI to HDMI cable
Connect the Apple Digital AV Adapter to your iPad. Insert the HDMI cable into the Apple Digital AV Adapter on one end, and in the projector/monitor on the other end.    

Wireless connecting to Apple TV

You can wirelessly connect Presentation Note with Apple TV.

Hardware and software requirements:
  • Apple TV 2nd generation and up
  • iPad 2 and up
  • iOS 5.0 and up

How to connect Apple TV:
  • Connect Apple TV to a monitor/TV/Projector with HDMI input.  
  • Connect the iPad to the Apple TV. Just double-click the Home button, swipe all the way to the right, and select AirPlay Mirroring
  • Start Presentation Note

Edit

The Edit button is active only when Open List is active. If you press the Edit button, a red "one way" sign will appear next to the file. If you wish to delete the file, press on the red "one way" sign. A Delete button will appear. Press it to confirm delete.

Presentation Note Remote

Presentation Note Remote is a free app for iPhone that enables you to control Presentation Note from the iPhone. View the video bellow and see how it works.
